Day started with me catching the bus down to Seattle. A girl sat next to me who turned out to be the girlfriend of a guy I knew in highschool. Whoah small world.

Ok.

Get to PAX just in time to see the panel of probably my favorite live action web series (Mega 64 eat your heart out). Evidently the path to success is pretty much two steps: 1) Have good ideas, 2) Do whatever the fuck you feel like. If what you are doing is actually funny, you will get a fanbase. Highlights of that include Ash calling her dad and putting him on speaker phone (he isn’t very talkative but was well recieved by the crowd), Ash recounting tales of people stalking her in real life and telling her they masterbate to her, learning that Ash still has the recording of David Hayter asking what she’s playing on her Ipod and finally Ash being trolled IRL by someone who told her she doesn’t look like a boy, pausing, then saying she looked like a man, and walking off.

This is supposed to be pensive. And yes, both of them are pretty darn short. Anthony is like just as tall as me and I’m 5’8″, and Ash has got to be like 5’2″ or less. Sadly, Ash was probably the cutest girl at all of PAX. Not sayin that she ain’t cute, but so much for that 43% of untapped female gaming market. They must not give a shit about PAX, that or they’re ALL UGLY.

Let’s see, next I wandered into this, which is both self-explanatory and pretty cool:

They had a soldier (who actually asked Ash a question at that panel) and scout with them too, but I didn’t get a pic. Also, some chick was dolled up as the announcer/Scout’s mom, and I gave her a bit of a lecture on the virtues of not fucking the enemy spy. She also denied that she was the Pyro, which in my mind, completely ends that argument and should be plastered all over the TF2 forums.

As I was wandering through the game demos, I was horrified to see this, accompanied by a video screen of James Cameron explaining to me how this was … somehow a good idea:

I was so unsettled by this that I decided I needed a sandwich. So I headed out to try to find the Subway, got off the escalator at the wrong level, walked down the wrong aisle towards the wrong room and oh hi ok Jonathan Coulton walks out of it. Because a certain friend of mine couldn’t get to PAX this year, I got him to write her a little message:

Talked to ‘Jeff’ something who runs a company that collects and interprets statistics on video games, their features, ratings, yada yada and how well they sell. I pleaded with this man to tell the DX3 devs to follow his main advice, which was design a game your audience wants to play.

Then I ran into a guy named Ian (sp?) who seemed pretty cool. We were waiting in line for the Splinter Cell Conviction/Assassins Creed II show-off thing and realized that we both played Gmod too much for our own health.

Splinter Cell Conviction looks fucking sweet. They seem to be saying that on ‘Realistic’ difficulty you won’t be able to play the game the way the game play demo so far shows it where it’s just ‘mark’ ‘pop out’ ‘james bond’ your opponents. Also it looks like you will at some point get the 3 piece headset back, which can now apparently use some kind of advanced radar vision or something to just flat out see through walls. Also they didn’t say the SC20K wasn’t in the game and instead said they couldn’t tell us, so it probably is in the game at some point.

Assasin’s Creed II looks cool, but I’m getting tired of writing so meh. Probably the best feature is that you can throw money on the ground and people will scatter around and try to grab it, which can be quite funny in the middle of a frenzied brawl. Also you can just flat out pay people to be your own personal mob.

Anamanaguchi is pretty fricken awesome. We actually got some crowd surfing going on.

also above that post was this terrible cover of 99 red balloons and i was almost offended because i really liked the original by nena and i know i’m a bit of a hypocrite because i’m talking about the english version of the song (because i don’t understand german) but even tho the english version doesn’t match up with the beat and words as good as the german version its better than that terrible cover whose(who’s???) music video has a segment where they’re just wiggling the W and T (zoom in and zoom out buttons for those who have never used a camera) knob thing back and forth

also while i was looking for the video to put in my post(it wasn’t very hard!!) i noticed there was a new 2002 version??? of the song and omg its terrible wtf!!

i dont think this post was very roleplay blog-like but um i guess it was kinda related because the guy was talking about roleplay things and i am talking about him so!! anyway im gonna go now

world of warcraft online is p good though, i would recommend it to anyone who likes mmos because it is a game where you kill people (that means it is like a good game!!)

The fact you’ve never addressed the issue on your web server that causes root access to be granted to remote users is another reason for merit in my book. So in short I’d like to thank Tomas J Anderson’s and Dave Brown’s stupidity for making this all possible.

However my offer still stands of $50 and I’ll guarantee your security, you see my secret is I actually know how to use linux or even configure a server for that matter unlike you guys, if you actually knew half of linux’s functionality you would of already fixed the issue which is allowing people to gain access, but this is not the case so I’m just having a good laugh at you guys :].

I only offer my support because it appears TnB is approaching flat-line, how many times can your databases be dropped and the server go down before players start leaving? A question for the ages I’d say.

There aren’t many movies that I don’t like. But there aren’t many that I totally like. Unlike most people, I know what my favorite movie is. And accordingly, that movie happens to be the best movie ever. It’s the Big Lebowski, and if you don’t like that, fuck you:

Inglorious Basterds.
District 9.

I’ve heard people say District 9 is the best sci fi movie ever. Fuck you. That would be the original Star Wars trilogy.

Also, Inglorious Basterds WAS a lot better than District 9. Anyone who says otherwise is just in it for Christopher Johnson’s son.

On another note, I enjoy shaving my neck. After I do so, I can rub my hand across it and feel the nice stubble. Lyndi knows what I means, yeh?

By the way, on another ‘nother note, Locust posted something on his blog that makes me happy. Now, I understand due to Locust and crew’s inability to write anything interesting besides this one very nice video, I thought I’d post it here where more people have the pleasure of watching it. I’m sorry that Kamern soiled it by using print screen and paint to make an excerpt of the film his avatar, I can’t help how gay that kid is. Did you guys know he’s like 12? What the fuck, who cares about 12 year olds. Only people who are older than that count as anything in my book. I mean, come on. When did you see a 12 year old do anything cool, besides Penn from Adventure Time. Oops, I forgot to link the video, here it is.

You guys should really check out our blogroll. They’re the reason we’re such cool internet tough guys.
